Hello world

Hey,this is the first post on this little corner of the internet, so a quick intro feels right.

I write here mostly for myself. Putting things into sentences forces me to actually think them through - to look something up, double-check an assumption, or notice that what felt obvious in my head doesn't quite hold up on the page.

The other reason is that a blog is a place I can come back to. Future-me will forget the details, and having notes in my own words is more useful than re-reading docs from scratch. If anything here is useful to someone else, even better.

In a few years, when I look back at these posts, I might see the same things from a completely different angle - which is half the point. :)
